Magnificent Malibu Homes will be featured at the 24th Annual Cook’s Tour Fundraiser, along with a gourmet traveling tasting menu prepared by local prominent chefs!



Join us on a progressive tour of stunning estates ranging from Malibu traditional to innovative contemporary architecture. Along with featuring creative furnishings and art, jaw-dropping views and lavish gardens, this year‘s tasting menu features items from local chefs and restaurants.

Malibu Methodist Nursery and Infant/Toddler Center is a non-profit which provides both a quality education and childcare. The Cook’s Tour fundraiser supports a scholarship program for families in the community with financial needs.

The Malibu Cook’s Tour is a long-standing tradition in our community and is limited to 350 passports for this incredible day.

Introducing Cook’s Tours' Chefs

Laurel Anderson began raw foods three years ago after partaking in a 14 day nutritional fast and through this process was exposed to all the amazing benefits and healing properties of “living” foods. After much interest from friends and family she started teaching classes in which led to a huge demand for her gourmet raw food. Soon after she formed her company “The Good Life” gourmet living cuisine based out of Seattle Washington, specializing in personal chef work, catering, distribution and classes. Last year, Anderson relocated to Malibu, California to expand into various fields of the business. Maureen McKee is the chocolatier responsible for Cacao Luxe. (Cacao are the pods from which cocoa is made.) From an early age David Price, Executive Chef and owner of Terra Restaurant in Malibu, knew he loved food. His fondest memories from childhood centered on enjoying a good meal with his family. At the age of five he discovered the joy of oysters on the half-shell. In his early twenties, David’s passion for culinary arts was enflamed by majoring in Italian Studies at USC. He travelled to Rome and lived in Perugia, learning along the way how to prepare authentic Italian food from the best resource available to him: a little, old Italian woman, the mother of one of his friends. Upon returning from his travels abroad, David brought back a zest for entertaining in the manner of the people he had lived with in the Italian countryside. David’s passion for food and his flair for hosting dinner parties culminated in 2006 when he entered the California School for Culinary Arts, Le Cordon Bleu Program. He put his career in the entertainment industry on hold while he pursued his dream of being a chef and during the next year and a half he studied the French methods of culinary mastery. In 2008, David began working at Terra Restaurant and throughout the next year he threw himself into learning as much as he could about the hospitality industry. He very quickly understood that this new path was the perfect fit and so, in 2009, his dream of becoming a restaurateur was realized when he became the Executive Chef & Owner of Terra. Antonio & Sarah Alessi are both professionals in the restaurant industry.  Joining forces several years ago, they now focus on Fred Segal Mauro Café, Tra di Noi and the upcoming La Spiaggia.  Though they enjoy being a working family, their favorite time is spent with their children.

Tarcisio Mosconi hails from Rome and has been in the restaurant business for over thirty years.  He grew up in the family business working with his sister at Alla Bucaniera in Rome.  Previously of Trilussa, he joined the Tra di Noi family in 1996 and has been a fixture of Malibu ever since.  When he is not making everyone feel welcome at Tra di Noi he is spending time with his wife and children.

Francesco Velasco is the newest addition the Tra di Noi family, joining us in 2007 as Executive Chef.   He instantly found his place in the family.  While he is always happy to make a child’s favorite pasta he is also a master at creating something extra special for someone in the mood for something more exciting. www.tradinoimalibu.com
